Samuel Rosa

Samuel Rosa is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and guitarist, and the frontman of the band Skank, formed in Belo Horizonte in 1991. Before the group, he was active in the underground scene in Minas Gerais with other bands, such as Pouso Alto. With Skank, he released "Calango" (1994), their first major commercial success; "O Samba Poconé" (1996), with the hit "Two Times, You"; and "Maquinarama" (2000), one of the best-selling albums in Brazilian music, boosted by "Vou Deixar." As a songwriter, he has a long-standing partnership with Nando Reis. Throughout their career, Skank has accumulated awards such as the Latin Grammy, solidifying their position among the most relevant bands in Brazilian pop-rock.
